Ms. Valdez brings to the firm a diverse range of experience in university affairs, non-profit work and automotive promotions. Prior to joining SFPA, she served as the Public Relations Coordinator for the Titan Student Union and the Associated Students Inc. at California State University (CSU), Fullerton. In this capacity, she played a key role in the planning and execution of campus-wide events and projects, including the development of the $42 million Student Recreation Center. While attending CSU Fullerton, Ms. Valdez was actively involved in student advocacy as the Vice President for the Resident Student Association, the student government for the residence halls that held weekly council meetings for residents to voice their concerns and plan community programs. During this time, Ms. Valdez also worked for the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show where she assisted with media relations activities. In her final year as an undergraduate, Ms. Valdez was one of only five students selected to plan and launch a seat belt safety campaign for the non-profit organization SafeKids Worldwide, sponsored by two of the nation’s largest auto manufacturers. Ms. Valdez is a graduate of CSU Fullerton where she received a Bachelors degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Her commitment to excellence during college earned her the 2008 Professional Promise Award which is awarded to one student every year in the public relations field of study.
